Yes especially for you Signs

So. These were taken in the kitchen (you could maybe have guessed that, without me expressly telling you) of a couple of friends. I don't know what it is, but I find it really pleasing to look at the reflections-area of the pictures in particular, the somethingness of the metallic colours.

Go figure.

This is so beautiful, and you must be some kind of a wizard/witch to have a kitchen like this. I suspected that, of course but here is the evidence. What does one cook up here other than wild, wild mushroom risotto and aubergine parmigiana? Magical images. Spells for the living. Mwah!

It is a beautiful kitchen, isn't it my dear? I feel morally compelled, however, to point out and clarify (in case you misunderstood) that it (sadly yet most definitely) is not my kitchen (which is a sad mess most of the time, and fairly prosaic if cleaner at other, rarer times). This image comes from the home of a couple of friends who lead a very alternative lifestyle in the sticks. As an added bonus I will let it slip that the previous mysterious-light photos were also taken at their abode, on a summertime visit…

…we had a gigantic salad and some pasta in this kitchen … and found a huge load of wild, wild mushrooms right in their garden (which melts seamlessly into the forests, a stone's throw from Russia).

I would love to have a life that shape, you know, but at the moment, I don't seem to love the concept enough to make it happen.

In the meantime, multi mwahs, my dear…

You know what, I suddenly had this feeling that there was something I got wrong. And yes, you did explicitly state that this was the kitchen belonging to a couple of friends. Never mind, my hunch still stands - about you being a wizard/witch, I mean. It's in the eye of the beholder.

I am away now to have a gigantic salad for lunch.

Well yarr me 'earty, 'tis in the eye of some land-lubber or another, aye, to be sure.

Yarr.

Hei. It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day – as you most likely very well know. This was pointed out to me, okay, by someone. I can neither keep track of these Special Dates nor speak like a pirate. But just for your sake, Schwesterleinchen, I have made a total tit of myself and tried, up there.

Now I'm just going to go and blush in a corner for a while. That was excruciatingly embarrassing. Funny. Never tried it before, I think. Knew it was going to be awful (you do it so well and naturally, incidentally, that you simply must have been a pirate either earlier on in this life or in the very previous one you led, you know) but didn't realise how very dreadful I was going to be and, consequently, feel.

On that note, Sis: yarr.

I love that kitchen

Hei Fire Bird – it is lovely, isn't it? Magical. Glad you liked.

However – I'm slightly surprised to find you here, rather than at the post I dedicated especially to you. Where was that, I hear you say – press my name and it'll take you there. No, this is not as cryptic as it sounds. Just click on my name, here, above this comment.

(A horrible thought: perhaps you had found the post dedicated especially to you, and just simply hated the song. I wouldn't be entirely surprised - whilst disappointed, obviously, in myself, for having so misjudged a gift – as the thing is certainly an item of acquired taste. If this was the case, do not worry, please. I don't hurt easily (how could you, Fire Bird?) and am not after a thank-you, you know – just thought maybe you hadn't found the thing.

But Jesus. Now I can clearly feel I'm just making matters worse by my peculiar-person prattle. Why can't I just be normal? Just say something like, "Hei, Fire Bird, how nice to see you"? Rather than go on and on like some escapee from a very safe house?)

Ahem. Hei, Fire Bird, and very glad to see you. Do feel most very welcome to drop by anytime you like.

oh I am sorry I missed the post dedicated to me... took my eye off the ball there and - oops! Sometimes you don't post for ages, so I don't always call, but I will be more attentive in future. I am most touched and like my welcome very much!

Fire Birdy – no need to apologise, please. Just very lovely indeed to have you visit.
