More moral dilemmas

Did you people read this:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/leaders/story/0,,1844559,00.html

Apparently, the information leading to the foiling of the terrorist attacks on air traffic last week was received through torture.

I don't mean this as a cop-out. I am quite sincere when I say I have no solutions to anything. Anything.

Hey Anna, Last year I saw Craig Murray speak in Edinburgh -the former British ambassador to Uzbekistan who is referred to in the article you link to in your post. He lost his job because he could not stay silent about the torture methods (endorsed by the USA and UK)that were being used in Uzbekistan in the name of the 'war on terror'. He has written a memoir 'Murder in Samarkand' in which he tells of people being boiled alive . . . I guess we would all confess to being terrorists if threatened with boiling.

Ah, Christ almighty...it is akin to the witch hunts. Why, as a species, are we so - so - so?
