Don't let the frilly look of palm fronds trick you into thinking they are somehow dainty and delicate. Next door's coconut palm keeps dropping fronds on our side. The buggahs are several metres long and weigh a lot.
Apparently, there is a possibility that our house will sell quickly. We will be given 45 days' notice, though. It's almost exactly the length of our upcoming off-island European holiday.
Tried treating this latest development with retail therapy. Buying a bikini/two-part swimming costume is really difficult here, as they staple the two parts together with anti-theft tamper-evident devices. You have to try on first one part, then the other, and hope for the best.
