Fee, fi, fo, fum

I noticed most of the cashiers at the supermarket wear wrist supports: repetitive stress injury. It reminded me of a documentary I saw once. Anthropologists were studying the skeletal remains of a prehistoric woman, who had lived in one of the earliest settlements of "civilization" - no more hunter-gathering, in other words. The joints of her big toes were worn to almost nothing due to her spending hours squatting, while grinding grains with a smaller stone against a bigger one, every day. That was her task in the tribe.

Not much has changed, has it, in some ways? To earn a living, so many people, even in the "affluent" West, still have to grind their bones down in repetitive, meaningless work.

On the other hand, we do have technological advances which enabled my friend's daughter, preparing for her music school concert in Finland, to play her piece to me via a skype call yesterday. She is not yet twelve but you would never know, she plays with a technique and passion you rarely hear.

Thanks for the compliment...

I wish I could read you but... Right now, I have some philosophia stuff to finish for tomorrow and it's more about theology than philosophia so it's kind of hard and long and boring and...

AS soon as I have time, I am gonna check your blog... m@tT

I'm enjoying your little copyright symbol at the end of your posts. This may be a dumb question, but is there a key on your keyboard with that symbol or did you download a special font with it?

I want one.

matt - you're welcome, I meant it. And you're also welcome onto my blog whenever theological philosophy allows you the time!

Naive - it's cool, isn't it? I learnt the trick from nmj. It's a bit of html code. Trouble is it can't be easily shown on a blog in its html format, as the blog automatically converts it to a copyright symbol. I sent nmj my email address and she forwarded it to me. I am willing to do the same for you, if you want me to. I don't have the function of ok'ing comments like she does, but if you feel you don't want your private email online (a lot of us don't!), I can delete your comment once I've got your address. Not all *that* many people visit my blog daily, and I will get to it latest tomorrow morning, so it's your call...

My goodness, I seem to have started a copyright trend! Bet it will spread like wild-fire! This is funny! It probably doesn't even truly protect us, but it sure looks good!
